Midfielder claims to have interest from the Premier League

Danny Swanson is planning to hold talks with Peterborough United after claiming he is also a target for Premier League clubs in England. The midfielder is leaving Dundee United at the end of his contract in search of a fresh challenge after struggling with injury problems over the past couple of seasons. He has already ruled out a move to SPL rivals Hibernian and has been linked with the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, Leicester City and Middlesbrough. The 25-year-old is keen to try his luck in English football and confirmed he is due to meet up with Peterborough in the next few days.

"My agent has been busy fixing things up for me and I am planning to swing by Peterborough some time this week," Swanson told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. "I have a few clubs interested in me, mostly in the Championship, but also a couple in the Premier League. "It's time for me to make a fresh start and I fancy playing in England now so I will talk to any club that shows an interest and take it from there. "I'm out of contract now so there's nothing to stop me coming down. I'd certainly be interested in anything Peterborough have to say and it would probably be interesting playing for a member of the Ferguson family!"
