Latics forward could still play for adopted nation

Victor Moses' agent has revealed the Wigan Athletic forward could still play for England despite being called-up by Nigeria. Moses represented England at Under-21 level before a change of heart saw him selected by Nigeria, the country of his birth. The 20-year-old was called up by the Super Eagles for friendlies against Botswana and Zambia, but, in fact, he did not travel to join up with the squad. Moses' representative Tony Finnigan has now revealed that, if his adopted nation came calling, he would not be able to resist the lure of England.

Commitment

"Let's be honest, if he got called up for the full England squad, could you see him turning it down? I couldn't," Finnigan told the Wigan Evening Post. "It's Vic's choice at the end of the day and while Nigeria are only playing friendlies he's still able to commit to England. "He can only do that if he's called up, though, and I'm not sure how many times Fabio Capello's been to Wigan recently."
