Griezmann failed to score in France's first match against Romania, but came off the bench to net the late opener against Albania in their second game. He then added two more in their last-16 encounter with Republic of Ireland as Didier Deschamps' side came from behind to win 2-1.

The Atletico Madrid striker then scored one and created two as France thumped Iceland 5-2 in the quarter-final.

He has also played fewer minutes than Griezmann, so would win the Golden Boot if they finished level on goals and assists.

Dimitri Payet (France, 3 goals, 2 assists) - 9/1 with Sky Bet

Payet had two goals and an assist after two games of France's campaign, but he was only used as a late substitute in their final group match and failed to register in their last-16 win over Republic of Ireland.

The West Ham playmaker then worked his way back into contention for the award with a goal and assist against Iceland.

Gareth Bale (Wales, 3 goals, 1 assist) - 10/1 with Sky Bet

Bale netted once in each group game before forcing Gareth McAuley to turn the ball past his own goalkeeper as they beat Northern Ireland 1-0 in the second round.

Surprisingly, though, he failed to register a goal or assist in Wales' stunning 3-1 win over Belgium in the quarter-finals. A semi-final against Portugal awaits.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal, 2 goals, 2 assists) - 12/1 with Sky Bet

At one point it looked like Portugal wouldn't even make it out of the group stage, but Ronaldo and Co have managed to make it to the semi-finals without winning a game inside 90 minutes.

Ronaldo has only found the back of the net in one game so far, scoring twice against Hungary in their final group game, but his two assists have kept him in contention should he manage to put a couple past Wales on Wednesday night.

Odds correct as of 09:00 BST on Monday, July 4. If two players finish level on goals, the Golden Boot is decided by a) assists, then b) fewest minutes played
