Jeison Murillo is determined to prove he merits a place with one of Italy's biggest clubs after joining Inter Milan from Spanish outfit Granada.
The Colombian centre-back was unveiled on Thursday after signing a five-year contract with Roberto Mancini's side.
"Inter have granted me a big opportunity," he told the club's official website. "I'm thrilled to be here.
"I consider myself a warrior and I want to give everything for this jersey, up to the last drop of sweat."
The South American made 18 league appearances for Granada in the 2014-15 season and recently competed with Colombia at the Copa America in Chile, scoring the only goal in a surprise 1-0 victory over Brazil in the group stage of the competition.
Murillo has a lot of confidence in his ability but the 23-year-old believes there is still room for improvement.
"This experience will no doubt help me to develop," he added.
"I've already realised that there is a great focus on tactics here.
"My aim is to continue to develop. Inter is a club with a very important history and I think there are the conditions to see us back at the top of the table."
Inter finished a disappointing eighth in Serie A last term and will not play in Europe next season.
However, the Nerazzurri have strengthened the squad since the end of the campaign with the arrival of Brazilian defender Joao Miranda from Atletico Madrid and French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia from Monaco.
They have also signed Spanish right-back Martin Montoya on a two-year loan deal from Barcelona.
