Fortuna Dusseldorf have confirmed an interest in signing Andriy Voronin, but insist a deal for the former Liverpool forward has yet to be completed. Voronin's current club Dinamo Moscow announced on Monday that the Ukrainian is returning to the Bundesliga to join newly-promoted Dusseldorf on a season-long loan. Dusseldorf's general manager Wolf Werner is holding talks over a deal for the 33-year-old and is waiting to see what develops. Werner told Express: "We are in touch with the player. At this point in time, nothing is fixed yet." Voronin's agent Andrej Golowasch said: "It is true. Andriy is returning to the Bundesliga, the strongest competition in the world. "I am hoping he will score enough goals and help Fortuna Dusseldorf to stay in the league." The attacker's previous experience in German football saw him turn out for Borussia Monchengladbach, Mainz, Cologne and Bayer Leverkusen before moving to Liverpool in 2007, where he scored six goals in 40 appearances in all competitions. Voronin had a spell back in Germany on loan with Hertha Berlin in 2008/09 before he joined Dinamo in January 2010, and he is under contract in the Russian capital until 2014.
