Liverpool defender Alex Greenwood has been called into the England Women's squad to face Wales and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Greenwood is a replacement for Chelsea's Hannah Blundell, who has withdrawn from Phil Neville's squad because of illness and returned to her club.

Full-back Greenwood has so far won 27 senior England caps, scoring two goals.

The 24-year-old was part of the SheBelieves Cup squad last month and will train with the rest of the squad in Southampton on Thursday evening ahead of the crunch meeting with Wales at St Mary's on Friday night.

Neville's Lionesses are preparing for their first two FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers since he took over as manager in January.

They have a perfect record so far, with three wins from three games, but Friday's opponents Wales top the table on 10 points from their four outings.

England then travel to Zenica for their next match on Tuesday afternoon against Bosnia and Herzegovina, who have three points from their first three games in Group One.
