Ipswich Town will open the new season at home to Fulham and will not have to wait long before rekindling derby rivalries.

Ipswich's opening game of the new Sky Bet Championship campaign at home to Fulham has been moved to a 5.15pm kick-off.

The Portman Road clash on Saturday, August 9 will be televised by Sky Sports.

The Tractor Boys will be the Cottagers' first opponents in the second tier since 2001, following the London clubs relegation from the Premier League last season.

In just their fourth outing of the campaign, Mick McCarthy’s men will welcome neighbours Norwich City to Portman Road – on August 23.

McCarthy will then welcome former club Wolverhampton Wanderers to Suffolk on November 4, before tackling Leeds United on December 6.
