Image: Wesolowski: Out injured for hosts

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Oldham Athletic and Stevenage at Boundary Park.

Jordan Slew and James Tarkowski are injury doubts for Oldham boss Paul Dickov as he prepares to host Boro. On-loan Blackburn striker Slew is nursing a jarred back and missed training on Thursday along with centre-back Tarkowski (dead-leg). Dickov is confident both can be ready for the weekend but is already without the services of James Wesolowski after scans this week revealed a grade two tear to the midfielder's hamstring, meaning a period of four to six weeks on the sidelines. Latics are still searching for their first win of the season following the 1-1 midweek draw at home to Walsall and will view the Boro match as vital, as it comes before three consecutive away games. Trips to Portsmouth and Doncaster are on the agenda in npower League One, while holders Chesterfield lie in wait in round one of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Meanwhile, Stevenage will add USA international Robbie Rogers to their squad for this fixture. The 25-year-old winger has moved to Broadhall Way on loan from Leeds until the new year. Summer signing Lucas Akins should keep his place in attack after marking his full Boro debut with the only goal in the 1-0 win over Leyton Orient on Tuesday night. Jon Ashton returned to the side for the first time this season following a spell out injured and came through 90 minutes unscathed so he should also retain his place at the back. Boss Gary Smith must decide whether to stick with Robin Shroot in midfield or start with Greg Tansey, who replaced him at half-time in midweek.
