Port Vale could take a look at January signing Dior Angus when they welcome Carlisle for their final home game of the League Two season.
Angus scored three goals in six games on loan at Tamworth but has been recalled in time to feature this weekend. The Valiants ensured safety from relegation at the weekend so other changes could be made too.
Veteran midfielder Michael Tonge was forced off at half-time against Mansfield, meaning a possible start for Ben Whitfield.
Carlisle have announced that manager Keith Curle will leave at the end of the season when his contract expires. He will check on Kelvin Etuhu, out since February but back in training, while the likes of Tom Miller, Kris Twardek and Reggie Lambe could move up from the bench.
Nicky Adams (knee) and Jason Kennedy (pelvis) are long-term absentees.
Port Vale have won four of the last five games in this fixture in all competitions (L1) - those five games have been spread across four different competitions.
Carlisle suffered a 1-2 defeat in their last league visit to Port Vale in March 2014 - they were unbeaten in five such games before that (W4 D1).
Port Vale have won just two of their last nine league games at Vale Park (D5 L2), however, those two victories have come in the Valliant's last three games on home soil (L1).
Carlisle have drawn three consecutive Football League matches for the second time this year and for the third time this season. They last drew four on the bounce back in March 2016.
