Sheffield United manager Nigel Adkins confirmed one or two unnamed players are carrying unspecified knocks ahead of the home game against Shrewsbury.
Adkins, who named an unchanged starting line-up in the weekend draw at Walsall, could be tempted to rotate his squad as his side chases a first league win in five matches.
Defender David Edgar is available again following a hamstring injury and international duty with Canada and hopes to make his first appearance since early October.
Teenager Louis Reed returned to the squad on Saturday after a foot problem and is pushing for a recall, as are strikers Matt Done and Connor Salmon, plus midfielder Stefan Scougall.
Mat Sadler is banned for Shrewsbury's trip to Bramall Lane.
The left-back forced his way back into Micky Mellon's Sky Bet League One side for their 1-0 defeat at Wigan but picked up his fifth booking of the season.
Nathaniel Knight-Percival is to see a specialist after suffering a knee injury in training, forcing him to miss the loss at the DW Stadium.
Ian Black went off with a dead leg at Wigan and remains doubtful to face the Blades.
