Striker Grant Holt returns for the Shrews, while three Cherries players have late fitness tests.

Cummings, Igoe and Goulding have late fitness tests

Shrewsbury aim to get back to winning ways when they welcome Bournemouth to New Meadow. The Shrews saw their five-match league and cup unbeaten record end with defeat to Port Vale at home last time. Striker Grant Holt, who has scored four times in the league so far this term, missed that defeat through suspension but will return to the starting line-up. Richard Walker is expected to drop to the bench as a result of Holt's return while fellow forward Michael Symes will again be looking to get some minutes under his belt. Goalkeeper Luke Daniels and striker Dave Hibbert are both expected to feature after sustaining injuries in the defeat to Vale, while midfielders Paul Murray (Achilles) and David Hunt (knee) have both returned to training but may not be involved. Midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, 19, has arrived on a temporary basis from Reading after fellow loanee Sean Thornton returned to Leyton Orient.

Cherries news

Bournemouth boss and former Shrews manager Jimmy Quinn could welcome back three players for the game. He is expected to hand late fitness tests to defender Warren Cummings, midfielder Sammy Igoe and forward Jeff Goulding as they all look to return to the Cherries' starting line-up. Cummings could return to his favoured wing-back position after missing the goalless draw with Rotherham last time due to tonsillitis while Igoe is expected to be match fit after a groin problem. But Goulding is the most likely to miss out after suffering a dead leg playing for the reserves. The Cherries have also signed midfielder Mark Molesley from Grays on a month's loan and he goes into the squad.
