    Southampton v Wolves preview: Saints host Championship side in second round

    Southampton host Wolves in the Carbao Cup second round on Wednesday having finished runners-up in the competition last season.

    Saints, who lost 3-2 against Manchester United in February's Wembley final, got their first Premier League win of the season on Saturday, beating West Ham 3-2.

    Wolves, who had won their first three Sky Bet Championship games, lost 2-1 at Molineux against Cardiff on Saturday, and have not reached the final of a major cup since 1980, when they won this competition against Nottingham Forest.
