Swansea v Chelsea preview

Chelsea will look to bounce back from their first Premier League defeat of the season when they travel to Swansea on Saturday.

The Blues were beaten 3-2 by Manchester United in a controversial game at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. But confidence in the camp will still be high for the trip to the Liberty Stadium after their sensational 5-4 revenge win over United in the Capital One Cup in midweek. Michael Laudrup's Swansea will be buoyed by cup endeavours of their own after winning 3-1 at Anfield on Wednesday and will hope to take that form into their league campaign. The Swans have a strong home record and were seconds away from winning the corresponding fixture between these sides in January before Neil Taylor's late own goal. Ashley Cole was sent off for Chelsea in that game, while Fernando Torres saw red when the teams met in September 2011. And Roberto Di Matteo will be keen to avoid any more problems with officials after another testing week in charge.Chico Flores is a fitness doubt for the Swans after picking up a dead leg in the win at Anfield on Wednesday evening. Garry Monk and Alan Tate will each be hoping for the chance to replace the Spaniard on Saturday. Ashley Williams is expected to shrug off an ankle problem but Michel Vorm is out so Gerhard Tremmel will continue to deputise in goal.Juan Mata, David Luiz and Gary Cahill all played the full 120 minutes on Wednesday and their fitness is likely to be monitored ahead of Saturday's game. But with John Terry serving the final game of his four-match suspension the centre-backs are expected to start once again. Fernando Torres and Branislav Ivanovic are available after serving one-game ban in midweek so Di Matteo may name the same team that lost in contentious circumstances on Sunday.
