Real Valladolid staged a late fightback as they came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Real Sociedad, but they were denied a win by Patrick Ebert's injury-time penalty miss. The visitors looked to be cruising when Antoine Griezmann scored early in each half of Wednesday night's Primera Division clash. But Daniel Larsson's goal in the 76th minute turned the match on its head, with Javi Guerra equalising three minutes later before Ebert wasted a golden chance to seal a remarkable comeback when his penalty was saved by Claudio Bravo. Valladolid had the first chance when Larsson's header was brilliantly tipped round a post by goalkeeper Bravo. Sociedad quickly seized the initiative, though, Griezmann putting them in front in the 16th minute as he received a pass from Carlos Vela and slid a left-footed finish low into the corner. Guerra headed wide as the hosts looked for a leveller at the start of the second half, but instead they fell two behind in the 53rd minute. Again Griezmann provided the killer touch, finishing low from close range. Valladolid kept on pushing, though, and minutes later Antonio Rukavina's shot from outside the area crashed back off the bar. Larsson pulled one back with 14 minutes remaining as he headed home an Omar Ramos cross from the right. And Guerra completed the comeback just three minutes later. Larsson this time was the provider as his ball in from the left found Guerra, whose low finish from the centre of the area found the corner of the net. Sociedad went close when David Zurutuza's shot was tipped over by Diego Marino, but they had a major let-off in the dying moments. In the first minute of injury time Mikel Gonzalez Martinez's handball gave Valladolid a penalty, which Ebert struck low to the right of Bravo, who made the save to ensure his side at least claimed a point.
