Wycombe v Northampton preview

Team news for Good Friday's League Two clash between Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town at Adams' Park.

Wycombe's hopes of a vital victory against Northampton have been handed a triple boost. Max Kretzschmar limped off against Newport last weekend with a dead leg which he has now overcome while Paris Cowan-Hall has returned to training having stepped up his recovery from an ankle injury and should be available along with Matt Bloomfield (hamstring). The clash with a Cobblers side who could overtake Gareth Ainsworth's men with victory may come too soon for left-back Charles Dunne who is back training after his long lay-off with a fractured tibula. Jon-Paul Pittman (quad) and Gary Doherty (arm) remain sidelined. Mathias Kouo-Doumbe and Zander Diamond return to the Northampton squad for their relegation six-pointer against Wycombe. Kouo-Doumbe missed the Cobblers' 1-0 victory over Burton through injury, while Diamond was ineligible under the terms of his loan from the Brewers. Kelvin Langmead (knee) made his first appearance in 11 months last weekend and is set to retain his place on the bench but Darren Carter is unavailable as he completes his two-match suspension. Chris Wilder's side head into the contest level on points with the Blues, knowing victory would see them climb out of the relegation zone.
