Yeovil and Oldham played out a stop-start 0-0 draw in Sky Bet League Two on Tuesday evening.
In a game of few opportunities at Huish Park, the best fell to Latics midfielder Dan Gardner who hit the post in the second half.
Yeovil had the better of the chances in a laboured first half, with Omar Sowunmi forcing Daniel Iversen to push it wide with a header from a Carl Dickinson free-kick.
Diallang Jaiyesimi then had some of the home fans celebrating as he showed quick feet and skill to break into the box, but his shot only hit the side netting.
Oldham brought off Ishmael Miller for Jose Baxter at half-time and the change immediately told as the attacker and Johan Branger linked up to play in Dan Gardner who quickly turned before firing a shot off the inside of the post.
Sowunmi should have made it 1-0 with an even better opportunity on 69 minutes from another Dickinson free-kick, this time heading it agonisingly wide after creating himself space in the box.
