York v AFC Wimbledon preview

Team news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup first-round clash between York and AFC Wimbledon at Bootham Crescent.

York will be without Michael Coulson. The striker has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after scans revealed he has damaged his anterior cruciate ligament. The 24-year-old suffered the injury in the 1-0 victory over Accrington last month and Matty Blair will fill in for the former Grimsby man in an attacking triumvirate alongside Jason Walker and Ashley Chambers. Newcastle Academy graduate Paddy McLaughlin will continue to occupy Blair's midfield position following his start at Southend last week, while Danny Kearns, who extended his loan deal with the Minstermen on Thursday, should also retain his starting berth. Lanre Oyebanjo came on as a late sub against the Shrimpers after recovering from a knock and could start at right-back in place of the versatile Danny Parslow. AFC Wimbledon welcome back defenders Callum McNaughton and Mat Mitchel-King. McNaughton suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury last season and has been sidelined for six months, but is back in training and could make the substitutes' bench. Skipper Mitchel-King has been out since August with a back injury but is also in contention to face the Minstermen. However, on-loan defender George Francomb has been denied permission to play in the competition by parent club Norwich, while the game comes too soon for injured pair Dale Bennett and Pim Balkestein. Midfielder Sammy Moore is sidelined for up to four months with a fractured leg and has been offered some scouting work for the club by boss Neil Ardley while he is unable to play.
