Kazenga LuaLua has been passed fit for Brighton's live Sky Sports clash with Brentford on Friday night, but skipper Gordon Greer is still out.
Winger LuaLua, recently back from long-term groin trouble, is available despite suffering a toe injury against Huddersfield last time out, but defender Greer remains sidelined by the hamstring injury which has kept him out of the previous two matches.
Striker Sam Baldock is a doubt with a calf problem, although he is back in training, while defenders Gaetan Bong and Liam Rosenior are still out.
New midfielder Steve Sidwell and Czech forward Jiri Skalak could be added to the squad, although the latter requires international clearance to come through in time.
Lewis Macleod could finally make his debut for Brentford - more than a year after joining the club.
The midfielder moved to Griffin Park from Rangers in January 2015 but has since suffered with a succession of injuries.
However, boss Dean Smith has confirmed that Macleod, who has built up his fitness playing for the Bees' reserves, is in the squad which will travel to the south coast.
Alan McCormack is still missing with a calf injury while Scott Hogan and Andreas Bjelland are still recovering from cruciate damage.
