Patrice Evra signs Juventus contract extension until 2017

Patrice Evra has signed a contract extension with Juventus that will keep him at the club for at least another year.

The full-back, whose new deal includes an option for a further year, joined Juventus from Manchester United two seasons ago and has since won five trophies - two league titles, two Italian Cups and one Italian Super Cup.

During his time at Old Trafford, Evra won five Premier League titles, three League Cups and the Champions League.

The 35-year-old is part of the France squad attempting to win Euro 2016 on home soil. They open the tournament when they play Romania in Paris on Friday.

Evra's new deal was announced on the Italian club's official website.
