Motherwell interim boss Craig Brown has confirmed the club have agreed a deal to sign former Celtic youngster Michael McGlinchey.
As
revealed by skysports.com Well have lined up a loan deal to bring McGlinchey to Fir Park from Australian side Central Coast Mariners until the end of the season.
McGlinchey has impressed for Mariners and Brown believes he will prove a valuable addition to the squad for the rest of the campaign.
"McGlinchey has played exceptionally well in Australia," Brown said.
"He is an attacking midfielder and will be a great addition for us when he arrives in the second week of February. He has played for New Zealand recently, so we're signing a World Cup player."

Meanwhile, Brown has revealed he will not discuss his position with chairman John Boyle until the transfer window has closed.
The former Scotland boss was appointed as interim manager following the departure of Jim Gannon in December.
It has been suggested Motherwell would confirm the appointment until the end of the season but Brown revealed he had used his meeting with the chairman to discuss the playing squad rather than clarify his own position.
"We haven't spoken about it because there's no transfer window for managers but there is a transfer window for players," added Brown.
"So the two discussions we have had with the chairman have been about players and not about ourselves. I said to him 'let's get the player situation sorted'."
