Charlton have sealed a double transfer swoop by signing Danny Green and Dale Stephens.
Oldham confirmed earlier on Wednesday that Stephens had completed a move to their League One rivals.
Skysports.com also reported that Green was undergoing a medical with the Addicks and they have now announced they have secured the services of the 22-year-old too.
The midfield pair have both signed three-year deals at the Valley, with Oldham and Dagenham & Redbridge receiving undisclosed fees.
"I'm delighted that we've managed to get Dale and Danny," manager Chris Powell told Charlton's
official website.
"I think it shows our intention as a club and the owner has backed me in regards to what players I would like to see at this football club.
"Dale is one of those creative midfielders I feel will score goals from midfield and create a lot as well. He's a talented player, easy on the eye and I'm hoping he will bring his qualities to us straight away.
"I think the one big thing with Danny Green is he feels there is as bit of unfinished business so if we can benefit from that - and I think we will - he will be a very, very good signing for us.
Clever player
"He's a clever player, a deliverer of balls into the box. He scores goals as well and as a winger you always ask, 'do they create?' He does from wide areas. You also ask, 'do they score goals?' He does, he got into double figures last year and double figures for assists."
Green was released by Charlton aged 15 and later Nottingham Forest before building a career with Bishop's Stortford and Dagenham & Redbridge.
After helping the Daggers to promotion from League Two in 2009/10, he scored 11 goals in 40 league starts last term as they were unable to avoid the drop.
"It's a bit of a dream to come back here and sign a professional contract," Green said.
Exciting season
"I knew there was interest and I came up and met the staff and manager, and I wanted to get here as soon as possible. From the signings we've made already it should be an exciting season."
The arrival of Green and Stephens makes it eight summer signings so far by Powell, who despite facing stiff competition for Stephens, had little trouble convincing the 23-year-old to head south.
"It's a very ambitious club," added the former Bury trainee. "When I came to have a look around I just had a gut feeling this is where I wanted to be."
