Premier League transfers after winter Deadline Day analysed

Premier League clubs spent £215m this winter - the second-highest total during January transfer windows.

England's top tier also splashed more cash than any other league in Europe, ahead of Ligue 1 (£130m), Bundesliga (£85m), Serie A (£80m) and La Liga (£20m), according to Deloitte.

It was also the first time Premier League clubs recorded net profit in a transfer window, making a combined £40m profit - boosted by the sales of Dimitri Payet, Memphis Depay and China-bound Oscar and Odion Ighalo.

Here's a look at the Premier League's biggest deals from the January transfer window.

The bottom six clubs accounted for half of the entire league's spending during the window, while the total Deadline Day spend for all clubs was £60m.

Meanwhile, Sky Bet Championship clubs spent £80m on signings to smash the league's all-time record during the window - having only recorded a £35m total last year - spending half of that figure on Deadline Day.

Sam Allardyce's Crystal Palace splashed the most cash, signing Patrick van Aanholt from Sunderland for £14m, along with Leicester midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp and Luka Milivojevic from Olympiakos for £12.5m each.
