Fenerbahce are closing in on signing Liverpool centre-Back Martin Skrtel according, to Sky sources.
The 31-year-old, who is currently on Euro 2016 duty with Slovakia, has been the subject of interest from other Turkish clubs but Fenerbahce are favourites to complete a deal which would bring to an an end an eight-year stint at Anfield.
Skrtel signed a new three-year contract at Anfield last summer but has fallen out of favour under Jurgen Klopp.
The 31-year-old started only four games since the New Year, with Klopp opting to partner Kolo Toure with Dejan Lovren in the absence of Mamadou Sakho. Toure has already been released this summer.
Liverpool signed Skrtel for £6.4m from Zenit Saint-Petersburg in January 2008 and he has made over 300 appearances for the club.
Fenerbahce finished runners-up to Besiktas in last season's Turkish league and will enter Champions League qualifying at the third round stage.
