West Brom will not offer a contract to former Arsenal and Crystal Palace striker Marouane Chamakh.
Chamakh had been training with the Baggies but manager Tony Pulis, who is to be inducted into the League Manager Association Hall of Fame, has confirmed the player will not be offered a contract.
It was confirmed earlier in the week that another trialist, midfielder Momo Sissoko, had also left the club.
Pulis said: "We have decided against taking Chamakh and Sissoko. They have moved on and we wish them well.
"We've had a look at them and we've decided against taking them.
"They came in, and obviously I have more of an association with Chamakh because of the time at Crystal Palace, and he was fantastic for me. But there are other clubs out there who want the two lads and who can guarantee them more
opportunities than we can."
Former Valencia midfielder Sissoko had been linked with rival Premier League sides Sunderland and Hull prior to training with West Brom and has since entertained approaches from clubs in France and Germany.
But the 31-year-old is understood to be keen to remain in the Premier League and is able to join a club as a free agent after spending a season playing under Sven Goran Eriksson with Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.
