Should Celtic have been awarded a last-minute penalty against Rangers? Were Real Madrid lucky against Real Betis? Was Kevin Mirallas offside for Everton?
After another weekend full of incidents across the football world, Dermot Gallagher spoke with Sky Sports News HQ to talk through the biggest...
INCIDENT: Minutes after equalising for Rangers, Clint Hill looks to bring down Leigh Griffiths in the penalty area, but referee Bobby Madden waved play on. The game ended 1-1.
DERMOT'S VERDICT: I think it's a foul, but the picture from behind the incident shows where the referee is, and he can't see, he has no idea if he's played the ball or not. In that situation, Madden doesn't know if he's played the ball or not, he can't gamble and can't give a penalty.
The problem the referee has got is that he can only give a penalty if he thinks it's a foul. When you see those pictures, he can't be convinced. I feel for him, It's a tough call.
It's the 89th minute, it's 1-1, he can't afford to get it wrong. The biggest way to get it wrong is to give a penalty that wasn't, and I think that's the bigger mistake than not giving a penalty that was.
INCIDENT: Kevin Mirallas pounces after Ross Barkley's effort is saved by Ben Foster, scoring Everton's first in a 3-0 win. West Brom appeal for offside.
DERMOT'S VERDICT: Great decision. Again this a great example of how good these linesmen are, Adrian Holmes is the official this time. At that point he has to photo-snap in his head where the shot was initially made, and he is just onside, and by the time the ball comes off the goalkeeper Mirallas looks offside, and that's how clever you have to be as a linesman.
INCIDENT: Bobby Madley gives Bournemouth a penalty after Charlie Daniels is brought down by Sofiane Feghouli in the area. Josh King eventually misses the spot kick.
DERMOT'S VERDICT: Penalty. If you go into a challenge like that, you can't win the ball. The referee has got to give a penalty, and if he's in the right position it's an easy decision.
INCIDENT: Jose Fonte then brings down Marc Pugh for a second penalty, which Benik Afobe then misses again.
DERMOT'S VERDICT: Not as easy to give, and not as easy to detect, but I think it's a penalty too. He clips him. What was interesting is that Fonte walks away, and it's just clumsy.
INCIDENT: Keylor Navas races out of his area to clear the ball, misses and catches Real Betis striker Darko Brasanac. Nothing is given, and Real Madrid end up winning the game 2-1.
DERMOT'S VERDICT: If the referee thinks he's headed the ball, which he hasn't, you could then say it's just a coming together, but I don't think he's headed it, so the goalkeeper has committed the foul. It should be a foul and a red card.
