Neil McCann says the fact Liverpool players are enjoying their football has helped them improve since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool beat Manchester City 4-1 at the Etihad on Saturday and Adam Lallana admitted afterwards they had fun during the game.
The Reds have now scored seven goals in their last two away matches, the same amount they managed in their previous 11 away from home, and are beginning to grow in confidence.
"Picking up on something Lallana said, and it relates to Klopp and what he has done, Lallana said after the game 'we had fun'," Neil McCann told Sky Sports Now.
"That is a team that has come under new management and when a player comes out after a game and says, against a team like Manchester City, 'we had fun today', that means something has clicked in that dressing room that Klopp has done to that team.
"They are organised, enjoying themselves, and there is nothing better than when you are working on something during the week and it comes off. You can't fail to enjoy it.
"If you ask the Chelsea boys were they having fun in the last few weeks, I don't think many of them will say yes," added the Sky Sports pundit.
Fellow guest Tony Gale highlighted the change in playing style to a more team-orientated pressing game as key to their recent revival under Klopp.
"They want to change the whole philosophy at Liverpool. They haven't got a Luis Suarez, or a Daniel Sturridge at the moment," said Gale.
"They have got to play as a team and they have got to play in a fashion that pressurises top teams like City.
"It is still a work in progress and they are having fun. They can't get carried away but it was a fantastic performance."
Liverpool have now played most of the top teams away from home, including both Manchester clubs, as well as Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal.
Their next run of games, which begins with the visit of Bordeaux in the Europa League on Thursday, appears easier on paper but Gale has warned against complacency, especially when they travel to the south coast to play Southampton in the Capital One Cup on December 2.
"They all look winnable but Palace [who beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield] looked winnable," added former Fulham and West Ham defender Gale.
"Southampton are a very good side and with Koeman, they press the ball really well.
"If Liverpool and the likes of Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren get pressed, are they going to manage to get out from the back?
"I am not sure about Liverpool when they are pressed by the opposition and that is going to be the key for me. They could be doing a Liverpool on Liverpool."
