Bolton striker ends international career

El Hadji Diouf has announced he will no longer play for Senegal due to organisational issues. The Bolton striker, who has been capped over 30 times and recently captained Senegal, brought a halt to his international career on Monday. Diouf, 26, explained he is quitting Senegal because of his dissatisfaction with the way the national team is currently run.

Unacceptable

"I have stopped my international career," Diouf told commercial radio station RTM. "There are so many problems with the national team. "The team has a scheduled friendly match in a week and we don't even know who we are playing against. This is unacceptable." He added: "If we have to come and play for our country, we have to pay for our own air ticket and reimbursement of the cost is another big problem."
Decided
Senegal have qualified for the African Cup of Nations next year, but Diouf does not expect he will be involved in Ghana. "I don't think I will change my mind," he said.
