Reading goalkeeper Jonathan Bond has agreed to stay at Peterborough on loan for the rest of the season.

The 24-year-old joined Posh on a six-month loan in the summer and had been of interest to other clubs ahead of the January window, but he wishes to remain at London Road.

In a comment issued to Sky Sports News by his representatives, Bond said: "I want to stay and get this great club promoted. Then I'll consider my future at the end of the season."

Bond will be available on a free transfer when his Royals contract expires in the summer.

The former England U21 international signed for the Championship club in 2015 from Watford but made only 14 appearances before spending last season on loan at Gillingham.
