Birmingham have signed 31-year-old Senegal midfielder Cheikh N’Doye on a two-year contract.

N'Doye was captain of the Angers side that reached the French Cup final last season before being beaten by Paris Saint-Germain.

But after turning down the offer of a new deal, Blues boss Harry Redknapp has persuaded him to come to St Andrew's.

N'Doye trained with Blues at their Austria camp on Thursday evening after passing a medical and subsequently completed his move.

He becomes Redknapp's fourth summer signing, joining David Stockdale, Marc Roberts and Craig Gardner in committing to the club.

A combative player and strong in the air, N'Doye began his professional career with French side Epinal, scoring 17 goals in 72 league appearances during his three years at the club.

He moved to Creteil in 2012, where he stayed for three years and made 107 league appearances and scored 32 goals, before making the move to Angers.
