Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Dutch midfielder Joey Pelupessy.
The 24-year-old joins the Sky Bet Championship club from Eredivisie side Heracles and will give Wednesday boss Jos Luhukay another option in midfield, where he has been without Sam Hutchinson, Kieran Lee and Barry Bannan.
Wednesday confirmed the transfer in a statement on Thursday but did not disclose the length of the midfielder's contract at Hillsborough.
Pelupessy began his career with FC Twente before moving to his hometown club Heracles, where he made 119 appearances.
The defensive midfielder joins the Owls in time to face Cardiff in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday.
