Newcastle United are back as favourites for the Championship title, according to Sky Sports’ Predictor.
The Magpies fell behind Brighton after a poor run but they are back on course to top the second tier, according to the Sky Sports Predictor, following their victory over Brentford and the Seagulls' loss to Preston.
But it remains very close - Newcastle have a 47% chance of taking the Championship trophy against 44% for Brighton, with just a 9% chance it will be taken by anyone outside the current top two.
The Sky Sports Predictor works by allocating ranking points based on teams' performances - taking into account the difficulty of the opposition, home advantage and margin of victory.
Further down the Championship table, Fulham are seen as dark horses for the top six, and have been given the same chance as Huddersfield Town of a play-off spot at 42% despite a seven-point deficit.
The Cottagers are given an even chance of beating QPR despite the Hoops' home advantage at Loftus Road.
Newcastle are hot favourites to beat struggling Rotherham, while Brighton are expected to beat Sheffield Wednesday.
Home wins are expected for Aston Villa, Blackburn, Cardiff, Derby, Huddersfield, Norwich and Nottingham Forest, while close games are expected at the DW Stadium and Oakwell.
