Are Cesar Azpilicueta and Alvaro Morata the best goal-scoring combination in England?

Cesar Azpilicueta and Alvaro Morata linked up for yet another Chelsea goal on Sunday. But are they the best goal-scoring combination in the country?

The two Spanish players certainly have a good connection, with Azpilicueta regularly picking out Morata in the box. Against West Ham it was the other way around, with Azpilicueta opening the scoring in a 1-1 draw.

Here, we reveal the playing pairs who have set each other up for the most goals this season...

TEN - Marriott & Maddison

League One's top goalscorer and League One's top assist maker this season top the pile when it comes to combinations, with Jack Marriott and Marcus Maddison linking up for 10 of play-off chasing Peterborough's goals this term. Assist-leader Maddison has set up nine of them for top scorer Marriott.

EIGHT - McConville & Kee

At League Two Accrington Stanley, Sean McConville and the division's top scorer Billy Kee have each set the other up for four goals this season. That eight-goal combination has helped Stanley to top spot in the League Two table.

Alvaro Morata has been gladly converting Cesar Azpilicueta set-ups this season - and on Sunday he returned the favour for his Spain team-mate. Morata, who has scored six times from Azpilicueta assists, knocked down a high ball in the West Ham box for his team-mate to convert.

However, at Liverpool they have TWO combinations to match that tally. Sadio Mane has set up six Mohamed Salah goals, with one coming in return from the Egyptian. While Salah has dished out four assists for Roberto Firmino and been teed up by the Brazilian on three occasions.

In League Two, Stevenage duo Danny Newton and Ben Kennedy have also combined for seven goals.

SIX - Lukaku & Martial, Bonatini & Jota, Cavaleiro & Jota, Morison & Gregory, Graham & Dack, Sercombe & Harrison, Akinfenwa & Mackail-Smith, Stockley & Taylor, Clark & Jackson

There are nine pairs of players currently tied on six goal combinations between them. Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial are among them, while Championship leaders Wolves have two pairs involving star player Diogo Jota in the list. The Portuguese playmaker has combined with both Leo Bonatini and Ivan Cavaleiro for six goals apiece this term.

Play-off chasing Millwall have seen their impressive recent run driven by the form of strike duo Steve Morison and Lee Gregory, while Blackburn duo Bradley Dack and Danny Graham, Bristol Rovers' Liam Sercombe and Ellis Harrison, Exeter's Jayden Stockley and Jake Taylor, Accrington's Jordan Clark and Kayden Jackson, and Wycombe veterans Adebayo Akinfenwa and Craig Mackail-Smith also make the cut.
