Queens Park Rangers have agreed a £350,000 fee with Burton Albion for winger Nasser El Khayati, according to Sky sources.

Former Albion boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is well acquainted with El Khayati, having brought him to English football from Dutch amateur side Kozakken Boys last year.

QPR have been spurred into making a move following the sale of forward Charlie Austin to Southampton for £4m. The 26-year-old is Albion's top scorer this season with eight goals.

Another former Brewers boss, Birmingham's Gary Rowett, is also believed to have had the player watched but it appears that the R's have moved into prime position to seal the deal.

Albion manager Nigel Clough has previously said they would only consider selling a player if the price was right for his club.
