Leeds United conceded in under two minutes in Paul Heckingbottom's first game in charge of the club as Billy Sharp put Sheffield United 1-0 up with a superb finish.

Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp made a sensational early impact in the Blades' Yorkshire derby showdown with Leeds United at Bramall Lane.

The Sky Bet Championship game was only 70 seconds old when the 32-year-old volleyed home his 200th goal in league football.

Leon Clarke fed Mark Duffy down the right flank and the midfielder sent in a cross, which Eunan O'Kane failed to head clear, and an unmarked Sharp pounced to thunder a waist-high volley past Felix Wiedwald in the Leeds goal to make it 1-0.

Sharp's strike saw him become just the third player this century to score 200 English league goals, following on from Rickie Lambert and Wayne Rooney.

It was also Sharp's sixth goal in his last six league starts against his former club Leeds, who had new manager Paul Heckingbottom in charge for the first time.
