Brentford are set to sign promising young St Etienne striker Neal Maupay, while they also want to sign Exeter forward Ollie Watkins.

Sky Sports News HQ understands the Bees have agreed a £1.6m deal for 20-year-old Maupay, who has caps for France's U21s.

Maupay will undergo a medical with the Bees on Friday, while the first team are still in their training camp in France ahead of a friendly against Swiss side Lausanne.

The Bees are hoping to sign two new centre forwards this summer following the loss of Scott Hogan to Aston Villa in January and the sale of misfiring Philipp Hofmann this summer.

Watkins, who has scored 26 goals in 78 appearances for the Grecians, has been a long-term target of Brentford's and they were interested in a deal in January.
