Although everyone's attention is on Russia, with the knockout stage of the World Cup about to get underway, that doesn't mean teams aren't scheming and planning their latest moves. Our friends at Football Whispers have scoured the European media to round up the latest transfer news and big stories.

France

Manchester United have made an offer for Lyon's Nabil Fekir. The Liverpool transfer target, who seemed very close to joining the Anfield side, has emerged as a target for Mourinho. The Reds want to use Fekir's reported failed medical to knock the French international's price down by €5million, opening the door for United. (Le Progres)

After being heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, Lyon's Tanguy Ndombele is also wanted by Manchester City, AS Roma, Arsenal and Liverpool. (Le Progres)

Italy

Also linked with Manchester City and Chelsea, Manchester United continue to show interest in Leonardo Bonucci. The Italian centre-back only joined AC Milan last summer, but their ban from European competition could see key players move on and there's no guarantee he will stay at Milan. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

After another loan spell, this time with Spartak Moscow, Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic will return to Serie A, joining Fiorentina on a year-long deal. He previously played with Milan during the 2016/17 campaign. This time, there will be an option to buy in the deal for the 23-year-old. (Sportitalia)

With Lazio valuing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic at over €100million, any deal was going to be tough this summer, however, Juventus have been given an advantage in signing the Serbian midfielder, with super-agent Jorge Mendes getting involved. He recently helped the Old Lady sign Joao Cancelo from Valencia and with the player's preference to stay in Italy, the Manchester United transfer target could be Turin-bound. (Tuttosport)
