Rangers defender Bruno Alves is undergoing a medical at Parma ahead of a move to the Serie A side, according to Sky in Italy.
Alves, who was part of Portugal's World Cup squad that was knocked out in the last 16 by Uruguay on Saturday, arrived at Ibrox last summer.
The 36-year-old joined Rangers from Cagliari but only made 25 appearances as he struggled with injuries throughout the season.
He was brought to Glasgow by compatriot Pedro Caixinha but he was sacked as manager in October.
Gers boss Steven Gerrard has signed two other centre-backs this summer in Nikola Katic and Connor Goldson.
Alves was part of the Portugal side that won Euro 2016 but failed to make an appearance for his country at the World Cup in Russia.
