Spain

Barcelona are ready to make a bid for versatile Bayern Munich full-back Joshua Kimmich. The Manchester City target has impressed for the German side recently, starting nine of their 10 Bundesliga games this season. Barca are prepared to offer €50m (£44m) for the 22-year-old. (Diario Sport)

Juventus have ended their interest in Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes. The Serie A champions had been monitoring the Tottenham target but have been forced into a rethink after the emergence of Rodrigo Bentancur in Turin. Juve will pursue alternative targets, which include the highly-rated Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka. (Mundo Deportivo)

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly demanded Gonzalo Higuain's departure from Real Madrid. The Portugal international, it is claimed, grew unhappy with the Argentine striker's inability to pass him the ball and told Florentino Perez that he wanted him out of the Bernabeu, which paved the way for the forward to join Napoli. Alvaro Morata has admitted that moving back to Real Madrid from Juventus in 2016 was a mistake. The Spain international re-joined the La Liga club after impressing for Juve but struggled to nail down a starting place before moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer. "The disappointment was huge: I went right back to the start. They treated me like the kid I was before the two seasons in Italy," Morata said.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery has dismissed reports that Neymar has a problem with his methods. Stories have circulated recently suggesting that the Brazil forward does not like the Spanish tactician's video review sessions.

Emery, however, has rubbished those reports. "He's attentive at all the video sessions," the former Sevilla boss said. "He's in the front row, and all the players know that video sessions are important." (Le Parisien)

Germany

Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes admits he is not 100 per cent sure over how to line-up without striker Robert Lewandowski. The Poland international has not travelled for the Celtic game in the Champions League on Tuesday because of injury, leaving his coach without a recognised senior forward. Heynckes admits he may play a 4-4-2 with Arjen Robben and Kingsley Coman up front. (Sport BILD)

Carlo Ancelotti says he was sacked as Bayern Munich manager because the "club did not believe in his work anymore." The Italian was dismissed in September following a poor run of form and says that he wants "time" in whatever job he takes next, while saying that he is open to a return to the Premier League.
