Borussia Dortmund returned to the top of the Bundesliga with a 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday.

Dortmund lead the way on goal difference from Bayern Munich after recording their 11th win in 11 competitive fixtures this season.

Jonas Hofmann, Shinji Kagawa and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang supplied the goals for Thomas Tuchel's table-toppers against a Leverkusen side who slipped into the bottom half of the table after their third defeat in a row.

Elsewhere on Sunday, there was a win for Dortmund's local rivals Schalke in Stuttgart and a first victory of the season for Augsburg.

The Royal Blues triumphed 1-0 thanks to a Leroy Sane goal, although they had their goalkeeper Ralf Fahrmann to thank for keeping a clean sheet against a strong Stuttgart attack.

That result leaves Stuttgart in a share of bottom spot with Borussia Monchengladbach, with both sides without a point yet this season.
