Joe Ledley has returned to light training with Wales just two weeks after breaking his leg

Joe Ledley is on course to make a remarkable recovery from the broken leg he sustained while playing for Crystal Palace against Stoke earlier this month.

Ledley has linked up with Wales at their pre-Euro 2016 training camp in Portugal where has been able to walk unaided and participate in the squad warm-up, as well as taking part in varied exercises such as cycling, stretching and step-ups.

Although the midfielder did not take part in full training with the squad he was doing a light individual session.

Manager Chris Coleman is due to name his 23-man squad for Euro 2016 on May 31, and told Sky Sports News HQ on Monday he will give Ledley until the "final minute" to prove his fitness.

Ledley has not played since limping out of Crystal Palace's 2-1 win over Stoke on May 7, just 11 minutes after coming on as a substitute.

Wales manager Chris Coleman says they will give Ledley as long as possible to prove his fitness for Euro 2016

He was initially thought to have sustained an Achilles problem in the challenge with Stoke's Charlie Adam at Selhurst Park, but scan results revealed he had broken his leg.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Chris Maxwell is set to join the Wales training squad as cover for Danny Ward.
