Premier League statistics: The best Opta facts from Saturday's games

After a busy Saturday of Premier League games, we take a look at the best stats courtesy of our friends at Opta.

Bournemouth 0-1 Newcastle United

Bournemouth have only kept one clean sheet in their 12 Premier League games this season.

Georginio Wijnaldum has been directly involved in eight of Newcastle's 13 goals this season.

Ayoze Perez's goal came via Newcastle's only shot on target in the whole game.

The goal also ended a Premier League goal drought of 212 minutes for the Magpies.

The win was Newcastle's first Premier League away win in their last 13 top-flight games.

Bournemouth mustered a total of 20 shots (including blocked), their most in a Premier League game.

Their 67.5 per cent possession figure was also their highest figure in a Premier League game.

Leicester City 2-1 Watford

Jamie Vardy is only the second Premier League player to score in nine consecutive games, after Ruud van Nistelrooy. Therefore he is the only English player to have achieved this milestone.

Vardy is the only player to score in nine consecutive games in the same Premier League season, as Van Nistelrooy's goals came between March and August 2003.

Jamie Vardy scored for the ninth successive Premier League game as Leicester beat Watford.

Eleven of the 12 goals Watford have conceded in the Premier League this season have come in the second half.

Leicester have 25 points this season from their first 12 games, 15 more than they had at this stage last season.

The Foxes are the only team in the Premier League who have scored in every match this season.

Leicester City have lost just two of their last 13 Premier League home games and those defeats came against Chelsea and Arsenal.

Watford have won just one of their last nine away trips against Leicester.

Manchester United 2-0 West Bromwich Albion

Jesse Lingard has scored his first league goal since April (Derby v Huddersfield), and his first for Manchester United.

Lingard's strike was the first United had scored from outside the box in the Premier League since December 2014 (Juan Mata v Stoke).

Jesse Lingard's fine strike and Juan Mata's penalty earned Manchester United a 2-0 victory.

Since his debut, Juan Mata has been involved in more Premier League goals than any other player at the club (30).

Manchester United have now gone 555 minutes without conceding in all competitions.

United are only the second side this season to score against West Brom in the Baggies' six away Premier League games (the other team is Crystal Palace).

United have kept eight clean sheets in the Premier League this season already - they kept 11 in the whole of last season.

Tony Pulis has lost 11 of his 13 Premier League games against Manchester United, winning once.

Manchester United have lost just one of their last 14 Premier League games at Old Trafford.

Norwich City 1-0 Swansea City

Jonny Howson's goal was his first in his last 31 Premier League games.

Dieumerci Mbokani has been involved in three of the Canaries' last five Premier League goals.

Howson's goal was Norwich's first headed goal in the top-flight this season.

Swansea are without a clean sheet in six Premier League games, their worst run since August 2014.

Swansea have won just one of their last 16 away trips to Carrow Road in all competitions.

The Swans have won just one of their last seven away top-flight games.

Norwich got their first win in seven Premier League and ended a run of four consecutive defeats.

Sunderland 0-1 Southampton

Sunderland have conceded a joint-high three penalties in the Premier League this season.

Dusan Tadic netted a second-half penalty to hand Southampton a 1-0 win at Sunderland.

Southampton are now unbeaten in six Premier League games for the first time since January 2015.

The Black Cats have won just one of their last 15 Premier League games.

West Ham 1-1 Everton

Manuel Lanzini is the first West Ham player since Bobby Zamora in 2006/07 to score against both Merseyside clubs in the same season.

Romelu Lukaku has scored seven goals in seven games against West Ham for Everton.

Lukaku's goal equalled the most number of goals he has scored against a single opponent in the Premier League.
