Hamilton have signed former Rangers and Hearts winger David Templeton on a short-term contract until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old has most recently been training with Championship side Dundee United having been a free agent since leaving Rangers last summer.

Templeton will now try to help the Accies - currently bottom of the Scottish Premiership - to pull clear of the relegation zone.

Hamilton's next game after the international break is the visit of St Johnstone to The Superseal Stadium on April 1.

Templeton played 94 times for Hearts before joining Rangers in August 2012.
