Chris Ramsey reiterated his desire to remain as QPR manager and start the rebuilding process after they were relegated from the Premier League on Sunday.
QPR bowed out in the worst possible way as Manchester City ran out 6-0 winners at the Etihad Stadium courtesy of a hat-trick from Sergio Aguero and strikes from Aleksandar Kolarov, James Milner and David Silva.
Despite watching his side's worst defeat since October 2011, when asked by Sky Sports if he wanted to stay at Loftus Road, Ramsey replied: "Yes. I really do. It's a club that I've taken to my heart and I really want to be here.
"As you can imagine the [dressing room] is very quiet, our fate is now where it is."
Ramsey was disappointed with the manner in which QPR saw their relegation confirmed, with the club propping up the Premier League table with two games remaining.
They will now join Burnley, whose relegation was confirmed on Saturday, in the Sky Bet Championship next season and Ramsey admitted the rebuilding plans start now.
"Everybody is very disappointed we've lost our status in the Premier League but knew coming here today it was going to be very, very difficult and we would have obviously rather performed better than that.
"The club's in a rebuilding phase now and it would have been anyway regardless of what had happened to us today.
"There's a lot of people at the club that will be disappointed in the way we conducted ourselves today."
