Team news for Tuesday night's Carling Cup first-round tie between Peterborough and Stevenage.

Stevenage have no new problems ahead of the visit of Peterborough. Boro managed to negotiate their first ever game in the third tier against Exeter on Saturday without incurring any more injuries. Midfielder Rob Sinclair (groin) and goalkeeper Chris Day (finger) missed the opening day goalless home draw and will remain on the sidelines. Summer signings Guy Madjo and Jennison Myrie-Williams could come into the squad and make their debuts after being overlooked at the weekend. Midfielder Stacy Long and strikers Ben May, Peter Winn, Chris Beardsley and Byron Harrison were substitutes against Exeter and remain available should boss Graham Westley wish to make changes. Former Stevenage favourite George Boyd is set to return to the Lamex Stadium for the first time since swapping Boro for Peterborough in 2007. He told the Evening Telegraph: "It's the first time I've come back competitively so it'll be great. The fans were always great to me and I can't wait for it." Midfielder Grant McCann and striker Nicky Ajose will miss out for Posh. McCann has linked up with Northern Ireland ahead of their Euro 2012 qualifier against the Faroe Islands on Wednesday night. Former Manchester United trainee Ajose was forced out of the opening-day victory over Crystal Palace after just 27 minutes due to a hamstring injury. David Ball, who scored Posh's winning goal after replacing Ajose, could come into the team. Goalkeeper Joe Day, defenders Scott Wootton and Craig Alcock and midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe are also options for manager Darren Ferguson.
