Robin van Persie feels he has not hit top form yet, despite the Arsenal forward netting 32 times in 37 games this season.
The Dutchman has been in fantastic form and has helped the Gunners recover from a slow start to the campaign to currently sit fourth in the league table.
But the 28-year-olds feels there is even more to come from him before the season ends and in the remainder of his career.
"Even now, I'm still improving," Van Persie told
FourFourTwo.
"When you say 'I'm not improving anymore,' you are finished. My heading could be better for example.
Never be happy
"I've improved but what's the maximum? I'm not going to know until I find out by trying. Yes, I've scored a couple of good headers this season. But when are you satisfied?
"People can say, 'He's scored three headers this year - I'm satisfied with that' but I don't think so.
"Why not five? Why not 15? It never really stops. By saying 'Never be happy,' of course I am happy in a way. I'm enjoying my football. But I'm not satisfied that easily.
"Why not score 10 headers instead of three? I've always been like this. It's a good thing to have in this business. I never expected to score 48 goals in one year like I did in 2011.
"But now I have done that, I want to score more than 48 because I know it is possible."
Fitness
Van Persie has struggled with injury since arriving at Arsenal in 2004 and agrees with Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas that had he been available for selection more often, the Gunners would not have gone seven years without a trophy.
"I can't say for certain, because anything can happen. But I know what Cesc is saying and I have that same feeling," he added.
"In my opinion, if I'd played more games I would have scored more goals and got more assists. Would that have ended up in winning a trophy? Maybe it would.
"But I don't look back much because I can't do anything about it. There are many people who live in the past, but you'll never achieve anything like that."
