Newcastle's Mr Versatile pleased to be putting injuries in the past
Ryan Taylor is relishing his renaissance at Newcastle and believes the faith of manager Alan Pardew has been essential.
The former Wigan right-sider has been forced to play out of position at left-back for part of the season, but has not disappointed with three goals and the same number of assists.
Taylor's form has come as something of a surprise following an injury-plagued previous three years at St James' Park and so the 27-year-old is delighted to be making an impact.
Asked if this campaign has been the best of his career, he told the
Newcastle Chronicle: "It is. To be honest I have never had a season like this in the Premier League.
"That's because I've been dampened by injuries. Whenever I got a run together, I got a serious injury.
"It's not one where I have been out for two or three weeks, it's been like five months or more. I have been due a run of games where I have been injury free."
Questioned about the secret of his success, Taylor said: "I put it down to hard work and the gaffer believing in me."
