Clint Hill is hoping another seven points will be enough to keep Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League at the end of the season.
QPR are currently two points outside the relegation zone with four matches left to play, but third-bottom Bolton Wanderers have two games in hand.
Mark Hughes' side entertain Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday before making the short trip to Chelsea, with Stoke City then the final visitors to Loftus Road this season.
The club's last game of the campaign is at Hughes' former side Manchester City and QPR's run-in is the toughest of the teams battling to avoid the drop.
Hill is keen for QPR to rise to the challenge of playing the bigger teams in the division and concedes it is difficult to set a points target for survival.
Tough
"It's difficult to say how many points we will need as it changes every week," said the defender in the
Ealing Gazette.
"Some say 37 points, some say 39, so maybe if we can get in between that then hopefully we'll be safe.
"It's going to be tough. Everyone says that some teams have got an easier run-in than others, but there's no easy games in this league. Every team will find that out.
"Hopefully with the big teams we have to play that will raise our game even more."
