Sergei Rebrov is not giving up on Dynamo Kiev's chances of making the quarter-finals of the Champions League at Manchester City's expense.

Kiev travel to the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday with a 3-1 deficit to overcome after City proved too strong in the first-leg in Ukraine last month.

But Rebrov, well known in England for spells with Tottenham and West Ham, is refusing to give up on the tie with 90 minutes still to play and City not in the most consistent of form.

Rebrov said: "We do not have many chances but I do think we have some chances. If the players do not feel nervous, if they are relaxed, they will create some chances.

"I think tomorrow the team will fight for the result, irrespective of the score in the first leg.

"We have to concentrate, work very hard, be strong and be a team. They have lots of good players but we must be a team and that's the most important thing."

Manuel Pellegrini warns against complacency and says City must forget they have a 3-1 lead before the second leg of their Champions League tie with Kiev

"They won on penalties against Liverpool, they won 4-0 against Aston Villa and drew 0-0 with Norwich. In those games, they demonstrated quality football. They play very good opponents and that's why this league is considered the best.

"This Norwich match showed it's difficult - they did not play that badly, Norwich just defended very well.

"I don't know what is the problem with Manchester City. I follow them but I don't know if they have a chance of the [Premier League] title or not. I am very glad to see Tottenham at the top of the league and West Ham very close."
