Goalkeeper Simon Eastwood has agreed to return to Oxford on a one-year deal following his departure from Blackburn.

The 26-year-old, who has the option of an extra 12 months, previously signed for the U's in the summer of 2010 from Huddersfield but failed to secure  first-team football.

Eastwood, who will rejoin Oxford on July 1, will be reunited with his former manager at Portsmouth, Michael Appleton.

The keeper told the club's official website: "It's a lot different to when I was here before. Back then I was just a kid of 17 or 18 but now I've got a hundred times more experience. It feels like a new club and I'm looking forward to it.
