Watford have successfully appealed against John Eustace's red card in the first leg of their play-off semi-final against Hull.
Hornets skipper cleared for crucial second leg
Watford have been given a boost for the second leg of their Championship play-off semi-final against Hull with the news that captain John Eustace will be available.
The Hornets midfielder was sent off by referee Kevin Friend after an altercation with Hull skipper Ian Ashbee as Watford lost 2-0 in Sunday's first leg at Vicarage Road.
But Eustace will now feature at the KC Stadium after his red card was rescinded by the Football Association.
Manager Adrian Boothroyd felt Watford had every right to appeal and will be relieved to have Eustace available as the Hornets aim to keep their hopes of a Premier League return alive.
"With the sending-off we have a situation where the Hull players are more experienced than the referee and they've talked him into a red card," Boothroyd said after the first leg.
